The Journey - What Happens Next?
It has been over a decade since I began writing a book that shares my journey of faith, in the hopes that others would be encouraged and find hope in Christ. I'm so excited to see what God has in store for this next season! Join me and let us seek the Lord together!

What a journey the last decade has been! So many ups and downs, so many changes. The one thing that rocked my world more than anything was saying goodbye to my husband when he lost his battle with cancer three years ago. Through it all, God has been merciful and kind. He has carried me and drawn me so close. He is everything! My writing journey also took place during this time. I've written a few poems over the years, but nothing much more than that. One day, I was inspired to start writing what became a chronicle of my journey with the Lord and all the things He has taught me over the years. Poems began pouring out, and I was led to corresponding scriptures. God's hand has been so evident, and there is no doubt that there would be no book if it weren't for Him. At the time my husband passed away, about half the book had been written. Only small sections of the book would be written at a time, sometimes years apart. About a year later, the words started pouring out. The loss of my husband shook me to the very core. In the silence that filled my days, the Lord began drawing me to Himself. His love filled my broken heart, His eternal truths filled my mind, and His Spirit guided my steps.
"The Journey - Finding Christ in Every Season of Life" is a testament to God's goodness and grace. It is also a declaration. For most of my life, fear of rejection has haunted my steps. No more! Jesus Christ is the answer to a broken and dying world. There is no greater legacy this barren widow can leave than to introduce others to the One who transforms lives and saves souls. He is everything! It is also a privilege and delight to encourage my sisters-in-Christ and fellow widows as they journey through this life.
"The Journey" is available now as an e-book, and a paperback version will be available very soon for those who prefer a physical book. It's almost surreal to think that after all these years, the book is finished. Only the Lord knows what will happen next and who may be impacted by the testimony of His love and grace. Is there another book on the horizon? It's a strong possibility, but I will wait and follow His leading. There is no other place I would rather be than in the center of His will. My only desire is to follow Him and walk in the calling He has for me. I pray you come to know and understand how much He loves you. He has a plan for you, and if you are in a place of brokenness and grief, please know that He is with you and will carry you. You are seen, you are known, and you are loved!
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." - Psalm 147:3
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life! In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble!" - Psalm 143:10-11
"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6
"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it - the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," - Romans 3:21-24
Father God,
Thank you for the dear friend reading this. May they have eyes to see and ears to hear what it is you want to say to them. Please guide and direct them on their journey of faith. May they rest in your love and trust in your unfailing kindness. May they come to know you in a deeper, more intimate way. Grant them understanding of your Word, and may they follow after you.
In the precious name of Jesus
Amen
Until next time, be blessed!
